Common Metro Adelaide Issues We Handle
A few patterns we see across the metropolitan region:
1. Hail damage on tile roofs. The 2023 metro hail events left a long tail of cracked tiles that didn't show themselves until the next winter rain. General roof repair after hail often turns up far more cracked tiles than the initial assessment found.
2. Salt-corrosion on western suburb metal roofs. Older zincalume in particular doesn't last in salt-laden air. We see early-onset rust on fasteners, valleys, and ridge capping in suburbs west of South Road.
3. Heritage suburb roof replacement. Unley, Norwood, Goodwood, North Adelaide — strict council requirements on material and colour. We've done plenty of replacement work in character zones and know what passes.
4. Original 1960s-80s roofs across the northern and southern subdivisions. Suburbs like Ingle Farm, Para Hills, Marion, Christies Beach — lots of original tiles past their use-by date, plenty of original galvanised iron likewise. Standard reroofing territory.
